Once we have Awareness we can approach life's unfolding with Wonder. The AWE Method will help crystallize your Why, Open you to possibilities and try Novel approaches to Discovery through Experimentation and Reflection. Awareness and Alignment Coaching will uncover patterned and habituated beliefs and actions. Through a co-creative process, we will explore different methods and practices that foster a healthy mindset and a shift in perspective allowing you to live a more fulfilling life and become the best you.

About Tan — Meet Your Guide

Hi, I'm Tan —
your partner in growth

For much of my life, I believed the path was clear — achieve enough, and peace would follow. I built the career, the titles, the markers. And for a long time, the model seemed to work.

It took a collision of losses — the sudden death of a colleague, a layoff on the heels of peak achievement, a marriage unraveling, a father's illness — all within four months, to crack that equation open. What surprised me most wasn't the hardship. It was that I found more genuine peace in the rubble than I ever had in the structure.

That discovery sent me on a different kind of expedition — inward.

My path has been shaped by two powerful influences. The teachings of Michael Singer — author of The Untethered Soul — moved me so deeply, both figuratively and literally, that I left New York City and relocated to Alachua, Florida to immerse myself in his teachings, all while continuing my legal career remotely. Alongside that, I deepened my understanding of human flourishing through the study of positive psychology under Martin Seligman as part of my Applied Positive Psychology Masters degree. The intersection of Eastern contemplative practice and Western science is at the heart of how I guide this work.

My grand expedition was shaped by thirty years practicing corporate law — in the public sector, Big Law, and in-house at a Fortune 50 company. Those years gave me deep insight into the challenges the profession carries. During my legal career, I had the privilege of mentoring others navigating the same path. I was honored to be recognised for this with the Ladder Award presented by the Connecticut Bar Association – Women in the Law and Young Lawyers Sections. My role as your guide is to co-create a safe, non-judgmental space for you to become more aware and aligned — to bring greater awareness to your values, habits, surroundings, and goals, uncover patterns standing in your way, and explore practices and tools to help your life come into alignment with your true self.

I believe deeply that you are the expert in YOU — capable, whole, and deserving of a full and authentic life. I would be honored to be a part of your journey.

Process

The Awareness & Alignment™ Model is a thought-provoking, creative partnership to bring greater awareness of habituated programs and patterns that inhibit you from living the most joyful and liberated life possible. The starting place is a goal — but the goal is not simply to achieve it. It's to bring awareness to the motives and meanings around it. In so doing, you will likely discover what is holding you back, and we will co-creatively explore ways to overcome those blockers — or you might find goals that better align with your true self. Throughout the journey you will be supported with honesty, care, non-judgment and deep respect for the expert you are in you.

Free Consultation

We meet to explore what's brought you here and whether the Awareness & Alignment™ Model is a good fit — or whether another modality might be more aligned at this point in your journey.

Alignment

If the AWE Method and the Awareness & Alignment™ Model is in alignment with your needs, we begin with a one-hour session to clarify your target goal(s) and possible challenges.

Personalized Journey Map

After the session you will receive a Personalized Journey Map that you will work with in between sessions.

Perspective & Practice

During our sessions, you will likely gain new perspective or insights. With this Awareness, we will use Wonder to co-create practices that help you break old patterns and create new, healthier habits.

Continuing Your Journey

My goal is to hone skills and practices for you to continue your journey — with or without a guide. Within ten sessions, most clients have what they need to fly…but the journey is yours. We can continue toward a new goal, check in occasionally, or you can simply fly. You are the master of your travels.
